Shiny Gun was my original inspiration for this website, including a wide variety of topics and writers, accepting submissions and speaking to a definitive generation. Our generation, as twenty-somethings, is so often categorized as “lost to the web”, or “disenchanted” that we tend to forget what a powerful voice we hold. It was bloggers who upset Dan Rather so, he cursed us and called us “disgraceful”. As twenty-somethings, we must fight the media’s onslaught of lazy marketing and prove ourselves to be anything but those caricatures on The Real World and MTV. We are more than sleek packaging and blog addresses.
