Before He Grew Horns

tiny monster

This picture of Daschel laying peacefully on our bed was taken when he was around six months old. Isn’t it terrible that I don’t know the exact day I took that picture? Bad mom. Anyway, it’s one of my favorites, and I hadn’t seen it in a while so it made me nostalgic for the days when he didn’t walk, talk or yell “PLEASE MOMMY PLEASE” all day.

Paige—I made copies of that pic when I first visited you in TX, remember, and it was fairly recent, so I think he was about 3 months old at the time. Does that help?

I think he had hornbuds by the time he was 6 months…

okay - as much as it hurts to sleep, I guess I’ll be keeping her right -here- in my uterus until she appreciates me.

Cynica-
You’re soooo close, just hang in there! I remember how anxious I was, and I’d probably feel the same even the second time…but this discomfort is nothing compared to “WAAAA” at 4 a.m.

Of course, there is a certain charm to that, too. Little in the world is more satisfying than calming your baby back to sleep. <3
