Bonkers!

Around 2 a.m. this morning, I felt positive Daschel had (another) awful ear infection. It was 2:30 by the time I got to the ER (we haven’t seen our pediatrician here yet and I was worried sick when the fever wouldn’t go down), and 4 a.m. by the time we got home.

Turns out his ears are fine, but he has an upper respitory infection. Our sleep schedule is totally fucked and I feel like I’m coming down with something now.

Super.

so sorry, lady. if its any consolation, we’ve been battling something or things viral for a good two weeks… all three of us. let me suggest some garlic, however. i’ve been taking odorless garlic 2x daily for the past couple weeks and feel certain it is what’s kept me from succumbing fully to the pestilence.

may be placebo effect, but hey, if it works, i’ll take that placebo shit any day.

Gah. I hope you all feel better soon.

I am absolutely petrified of our first ear infection. Egads.

My roommate had an upper respirodotuta infection for quite awhile. If he laughed hard enough it would cause him to throw up. Which would then make us feel bad for making him laugh.

Hope the little one feels better soon.

i’m suffering from an upper respitory thing, too. but i can’t take anything for it since i’m on Prevpac twice a day, which means 6 doses of antibiotics, to cure the infection in my GI tract.

i hope you both are well soon.

Hoo boy. Beck had an upper resp over the holidays.
It started with:
- 5 days Zithromax (did nothing and he couldn’t breathe)
- 10 days Amox
- Bought a nebulizer for the Xeopenex (3 times a day)
He had an allergic reaction to the amox, is covered in hives and now we are on
- Benadryl (0ver the counter doing nothing)
- Prednisone
- Atarax
- Zantac

Our Kitchen looks like a CVS. By the way, a good homeopathic stop-gap measure for ear infections: a drop of warm olive oil in the ear. It will sooth, coat and ease pain until you can get him into the Dr.
