If you feel like testing Firefox 2 Beta 2, head on over to Mozilla and check it out:
Firefox 2 Beta 2 is a developer preview release of our next generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Firefox 2 Beta 2 is intended for Web application developers and our testing community. Current users of Firefox 1.x should not use Firefox 2 Beta 2 and expect all of their extensions and plugins to work properly.
Some things to look forward to:
Visual refresh
Built in Phishing Protection (no, it doesn’t guarantee that a van full of oddly smelling strangers won’t pull up in your driveway blasting A Picture of Nectar)
Enhanced search capabilties
Improved tabbed browsing By default, Firefox will open links in new tabs instead of new windows, and each tab will now have a close tab button. Power users who open more tabs than can fit in a single window will see arrows on the left and right side of the tab strip that let them scroll back and forth between their tabs. The History menu will keep a list of recently closed tabs, and a shortcut lets users quickly re-open an accidentally closed tab. (My favorite)
Resumed browsing sessions
In-line spell check!
Preview/Subscribe to web feeds (also awesome)
There’s plenty more at Mozilla’s release notes page.

Well, last weekend’s Romp was a great success. The kids had a blast, Golden Bear was awesome, and we all enjoyed the afternoon / evening with each other. I wish that everyone could have come but next time, you silly goofballs.
I have a present for you guys: Lindsey Buckingham Mix (Flux=Rad, 2006)! It’s a zip file, go to town. Apparently it’s tagged crappily, so feel free to let your iTunes megolomania work its magic.
I’ve been working on a project for SJ and I’m feeling like a slacker, so I’m going to get back to work.

My New Release Tuesday post is up at Austinist if you’re in need of the latest news on what’s out today (and what I think is worth checking out). Try to guess which album I really hate but was diplomatic enough to gloss over.

My grandma used to say that when she was really busy. “I’ve had a day!” In other words, it wasn’t just a day, it was a day. That means shit was intense.
Well, shit was intense for me today. Without getting into boring details, I’ll just say that I’ve been all over town, still haven’t fixed the bookshelf that collapsed on Saturday, and I’m looking at a friend’s dog’s collar … with no dog.
I did manage to get around to posting some live Mew over at Swoon, though. Go check it out!

Today’s music is up at Swoon. Three Buckingham songs that will kick your ass and hand it to you, all beat up. Kicked. Have a great weekend you guys.
And if you’re in Austin, I expect to see you at the Romp tomorrow!
