September’s “Launch Yourself!” Mix

I promised you a mix weeks ago, didn’t I? I suppose it took a decompression, a perfect weekend, and a holiday to get it done. There are worse things, right? Like, for instance, if I had included all my Discordance Axis mp3s on you.

Regardless, this mix has quite a bit to offer: Ethiopian music, Arcade Fire-ish bursts by Annuals, a web-only Clark track (thank you, Aaron) and a Mew remix! It’s pretty mellow, perfect for long drives to watch leaves changing or afternoons at home with someone you love <3. Though more than one track breaks the 7 minute mark, I doubt you’ll ever feel bored.

In short, be thankful I’ve already done an entire mix dedicated to Lindsey Buckingham, be even more thankful that I’m coming down from the Timberlake high, and be even more thankful than that for the fact that I’m not quite angsty enough to make you a speed metal or grindcore mix. Nah, I’ll save that for Christmas.

Ooohhh, get crackin’ on that angst-thing!

Mmmmmmm, death-music goodness.

PS: Every time I see static lists on your site, I die a little inside.

For what it’s worth, I’ve decided I love the Annuals song. The Midlake, Guillemots and Klumpes are pretty cool, too. Thanks!

I-
Ok that’s it, next mix is all metal. :)

TB-
I thought you might like Annuals, I’m so into that song right now as well, it’s incredible. Also you’re awesome to stop by again and let me know what you liked - normally people just grab the mix and head off into the sunset.
