I’ve previously formulated what I like to call Robotpolisher’s 3rd law which states: The odds of running into this guy, one of his countless imitators or one of those guys playing the one of those one stringed Chinese violins on your morning NYC commute is directly proportional to the amount you are incredibly hung over. And I stand by that.

I think I told you about my summer in the West Village in NYC years ago, and I recall being blown away by how much talent hangs out in the subway.

After I while I became less impressed, but once in a while I would run across someone like this guy and get crazy impressed all over again.

In Boston there was a guy outside the Barnes & Noble down by the aquarium / shopping district wtf is it called, anyway, he was out there all the time and I loved him. He also played on plastic tubs like this guy, but he did shit like stand on his head while he played and had some makeshift cymbals and crap as well. Kids would gather and form a circle around him to watch him play while their parents (central Boston shoppers with pocketbooks well-hidden) decided whether or not to throw loose change into their jar.
