Open Music Encyclopedia

Musipedia is an open music encyclopedia that lets you “play” tunes that you’ve got hammered into your brain, then searches for them in an effort to help you pin down those jingles that you can’t shake.

Using “Melody Hound”, the site searches to find tunes that you select using a melody or bit of score.

You can find and identify a tune even if the melody is all you know. You can play it on a piano keyboard, whistle or sing it to the computer, simply tap the rhythm on the computer keyboard or use the Parsons code.

More on Musipedia over at Wikipedia, fittingly.

That is genius. Considering my memory is truly going down the drain, this will definitely come in handy. Thanks for posting the link!
