12logo.gifMy good friend Paul (& Hallmonitor.org) has started sharing some of his favorite album art, at a decent size worth appreciating, over at Hallmonitor.org.

Looking back on some wonderful album art that inspires, causes reflection and makes you stop and consider it, wholly, is totally awesome and extremely important. Even if you listen to mp3s and only see album art 400×400, take the time to read about and absorb the stories behind some of the most beautiful album designs, compiled by a guy who happens to not only know a ton about music but has a great eye for design as well.

great link! i’ve always had an appreciation for great album art. there have been occasions when i’ve walked into waterloo and picked up a record or two just because of the artwork (it’s how i discovered stuart david’s [b&s] looper). i found a really great way to mount album covers on the wall is using clear mirror mounting brackets - no damage to the sleeve, plus you can slide them out and change them around whenever you want.
