Kozelek and Oldham, Berman and Blake

mark_kozelek.jpgMark Kozelek has announced the April 1 release date of the next Sun Kil Moon record, titled April.

The record is the follow up to 2003’s Ghosts of the Great Highway, and features cameos from another of my favorite songwriters, Will Oldham.

In other news regarding dudes I love, David Berman will speak at the Corocran Gallery of Art on Feb. 28 in honor of visual artist Jeremy Blake, who committed suicide this past July. Blake commissioned Berman to narrate 2005’s Sodium Fox. Watch a clip from the film here.

Berman’s Silver Jews will also release a new album in April, called Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea on Drag City.

You sure that doesn’t mean that on April 1st, Kozelek won’t announce, “I was kidding! April Fool’s! The album will be called October, and I’ll release it on October 1st. It’s a complete reinterpretation of the U2 album… Bono rules!”

Yeah… I didn’t think so, either.

Don’t you mean a follow up to the ‘Tiny Cities’ album?
