Here is the world’s most boring use of a high school marching band for self-indulgent “rock’n'roll” purposes.

wow, i was excited when i saw what appeared to be a young, talented drum line. that excitement quickly deflated and was replaced by the aforementioned boredom.

Is there something inherently wrong with being dressed like a total WASP and having an entirely black backing band or am I just reading too much into this?

I’ll say it. That was HORRIBLE. And I’ll confess my decrepitude and ignorance. I turned on CC b/c I couldn’t believe my ears…I had the lyrics right, but my disbelief told me I had them wrong. Then I had to Google the lyrics to find out who the band is. I’ve never heard a single Vampire Weekend song until now. Can I go back to when I’d never heard one?

Yes, I do think there’s something inherently wrong with being dressed like a WASP and having an entirely black backing band. Also, it is a sin to take Peter Gabriel’s name in vain. Seeing as Peter Gabriel is a god.
