Double Dragons

858332I can’t even find a web site for these guys, it’s too hard. But if you don’t check this out, you’re missing out.

They’re a drum and guitar duo that make more noise than RATATAT, are probably louder in a club that Lightning Bolt, and keep everything just concise enough to stay interesting throughout their 8 song album. Any info is appreciated, should you happen to have details on these guys. I found these tunes by dumb luck surfing the web for “awesome metal 2009″. Not joking. They’re not really metal, they’re like slap/choppy math fuzz. Love it.

I would say that good times are just as likely to foster creativity through bad vibes, at least among bored and cynical youth. The nineties put a rocket up the Dow’s ass but it also birthed grunge and the commodification of teen angst. I think basically some decades are just more boring than others, in general.
