A Couple of Great Userstyles/Scripts
Mostly for my reference, but also because they’re awesome, here’s a handful of Userscripts/Styles I’ve found useful lately:
- Rounded Forms for FF3: Rounds corners and adjusts appearance of textarea, select, input, and button fields. Changes borders/outline/background color when hovered. Resulting eye-candy is somewhat Safari-like. Applies globally, but you can exclude sites or apply it only to selected sites.
- Better Google for iPhone: Google has special mobile view for its services when you open them using iPhone (or at least using iPhone user-agent). Also you can use special URLs to enable iPhone-like view of services. It’s pretty convenient for any mobile device with touch screen but there is a lot of places where services are optimized for iPhone screen resolution.
- Download YouTube Videos As Flv, Mp4 High Quality: What it says.
- Gmail 2 – Native OS Attachment Icons: Pretty OS icons in your inbox.
- Paint it Black Theme for Last.fm v.2: A dark theme for the latest incarnation of last.fm.
- Google Image Search – Compact UI (clean): Style for Google Image Search. Absolutely gorgeous, clean and tidy.
- Google Search – Columns & compact UI (clean): A search style that matches image search above. Columns for search results!
- Gmail Clean Font: Transforms all Gmail fonts to Lucida Grande.
- Better Gmail 2 (Mozilla Add-on): Add useful extra features to Gmail, like hierarchical labels, macros, file attachment icons, and more. (Indispensable!)
All you need to use these scripts is Greasemonkey and Firefox. Learn more about how to use scripts read more here.
