Top iPhone Apps for People With Kids

My 6 year old loves the iPhone. On road trips, at boring restaurants, and on sick days, there’s nothing better for him or me. I get the satisfaction of occupying him with something that’s teaching him a bit about technology (and whatever the app happens to be about) and he gets to have fun on what he believes is essentially a portable game player. On a road trip he can plug in the ear buds and YouTube Leonard Bernstein’s Concerts for Young People, Harry Potter or Planet Earth segments, play a game or search for birds. Here’s the apps I have on my phone that are specifically for Daschel. What are your favorite child friendly iPhone apps?

The app features some attractive and professional graphics from popular artist Divya Srinivasan (who regularly appears in The New Yorker) as well as animations and sounds.
