95: End of the Line’s End of the Line (1993)

There’s a period of time in my music listening history where all I really cared about was hardcore. In the scheme of things, it was a pretty small window, but its influence still looms over my tastes pretty heavily. This record, though never really that big a deal with the crowds I ran in, is one of my favorite hardcore records ever. Pressed at Ebullition, End of the Line’s self-titled LP featured kids that would go on to be Heroin, Antioch Arrow and John Henry West. It was the growing sound of San Diego’s hardcore scene that would eventually spawn bands like the Locust and many more. Very California, very hard, very gritty, very good.
