Mark Robinson is just as brilliant as Abraham Fucking Lincoln, mkay? Unrest’s album combines darkly humorous lyrics with straight-ahead pop (“Isabel” is still one of the greatest pop songs ever written) to make up this practically perfect album. If you’ve never listened to Unrest, this is the place to start, and it’s probably ok to finish here, too.

I adored this record and their tour in 92 was a great show to catch. Cherry, cherry, cherry… Jangle never sounded so poppy and good. Teenbeat forever.
