This Nick Lowe-produced record (the first of Costello’s to feature the Attractions) spins and rocks and thumps with the best of them. Though My Aim Is True and Armed Forces are also favorites of mine, this one just knocks me out. There’s not a deep cut anywhere on here, everything is top notch — despite the fact that many of the tunes were leftover from ‘77.
