75: Pavement’s Slanted & Enchanted (1992)

For people who know me or have listened to me talk about music that shaped my formative years, the arrival of Pavement on this list is no surprise. Though this spot was in danger of falling to Westing, I finally decided on Slanted. I don’t even know how many times “Summer Babe (Winter Version)” has been put on mixtapes in my lifetime … my second favorite tune is below. Enjoy.
