64: The Stooges’ Fun House (1970)
Raw, sweaty, animalistic and loud, Fun House is a document of a band flowering into their realized selves. The rage of “1970″, the grit of “T.V. Eye” and the anarchy of “L.A. Blues” teem at the record’s edges, full of force. I’m a picky Iggy Pop fan (hint: he’ll make one more appearance on this list for being an idiot), but I can’t deny his prowess throughout this album. It’s always a pick-me-up.
